Why
should I choose you?
A few reasons.
Experience.
These days, just about anybody with a PC and a mic can call themselves
a voiceover artist, but that doesn't make them one. From what I've heard,
most of these folks have a poor grasp of production (the synchronization
of voiceover, music, and sfx) and mastering (the final stage of production
that maximizes the tonal qualities of the finished piece). I voiced my
first commercial over 18 years ago, produced my first spot about 17 years
ago, and was introduced to the art of mastering over a decade ago. When
you hire me, you're getting an experienced voiceover artist, producer,
and mastering engineer rolled into one. And you'll hear the difference
in the finished product.
Flexibility.
Take a listen to all parts of my demo. You'll hear
everything from almost-shouting high energy spots to dry-as-toast and dense-as-uranium
educational narration with all sorts of stuff in between. You might never
need me to scream out a "Push it, pull it, or drag it" commercial
or explain the "regioselective bromination of tertiary carbons",
but the range and ability is there if you do.
Responsiveness.
My average turnaround time for a :60 second spot is under 48 hours. Most
clients get their spots back the next business day. Of course, if you
send me 20 pages of narration it's going to be a bit longer, but I'll
strive to beat your deadline, leaving you time to listen and suggest any
changes you'd like to hear. I rarely take time off and inform all my clients
well in advance if I'm going to be away from my studio for any length
of time. And I've been known to change my plans to accomodate a last minute
request from a client.
I
Listen.
Voiceover artists talk. And talk and talk and talk and then talk some
more. But how many listen? More specifically, how many listen to you?
My first priority is producing a finished piece that is exactly what you
want. That starts with listening to what you expect to hear and then doing
it (and doing it again and again, if necessary) until you get what you
want.
This
is my job.
Lots of voiceover artists do their thing as a paid hobby. Not me. This is
my full time job. If you're not completely satisfied with my work, you're
probably not going to come back. I simply can't afford that. Your satisfaction
is crucial to my success.
